I see myself providing universal support and also supplemental support. Would I need more training or credentialing for intensified support? Is intensified support provided in the general ed classroom?
Brenda Fischer
56:27
As a special education teacher I feel like I am in the few students, or more intensified support more than any other level. I wish I provided more supports for some in the supplemental. It is something I am working on currently at my campus and hope to have a better system in place for the 2020/2021 school year
elizabethsanchez
56:47
I see myself providing supplemental supra and universal support
luzsanchez
56:52
In and out of all continuum of support, especially as a SPED teacher
Trudi Driscoll
57:10
more training is needed!
luzsanchez
57:20
you find the needs of students and apply what is needed.
Flor Cardenas
57:45
I see myself providing universal support
ashleytaylor
57:46
I feel like I would move between all three of them.
Angelica Ramos
57:48
I think there’s a fluctuation considering many schools are mainstreaming their SPED students. So teachers need to work with their SpEd teacher or be trained?
Megan Manoguerra
57:48
It depends on the students but you should be able to move throughout the continuum based on the support that the student needs
Grecia
57:53
I agree more training is needed, specially when it comes to remote learning.
Feona Shandrew
58:12
Who provides intensified supports in gen ed? Paras? Special education teachers?
Erin Thompson
58:21
I currently teach in the intensified support group, would like other teachers to be trained in the same principles at the universal support level
Courtney Zendejas
58:38
I see myself using all 3
Goretty Rojas Quintero
58:41
I also see myself providing universal support but working alongside supplemental support instructors as I have noticed that many schools are mainstreaming SPED students at the elementary school level
Mimi
58:57
Universal support is my goal... i'm not there yet
Trudi Driscoll
59:05
Ideally all 3!
Feona Shandrew
59:36
I also see myself providing all 3 levels of supports in the future. Currently I am providing intensified supports in my SDC
Michelle K Botros
01:01:56
Start with Universal and include Supplemental supports based on your group of students. Include Intense support through ongoing assessments.
